Sales team & targets

Two questions every owner with more than one person on enquiries asks: “who is sitting on which leads?” and “how is each of them actually doing?” The Sales team page in BizOS answers both for your lead owners — the people leads are assigned to — with a monthly target for each person that carries forward until you change it.

Where do I find it?

Open Leads, then the pipeline tools menu next to the board, and pick Sales team (or My results if your role sees only your own numbers). A Sales team tile also sits on Reports, and the dashboard shows a Sales team · this month card for the team view or a My month card for everyone else who works leads.

The page has three tabs:

TabWhat it shows
Leads nowOpen leads per person × open stage on one pipeline: count and ₹ value, how many are idle, the longest in a stage, an Unassigned row and totals. Click a cell to open the board filtered to that person.
ResultsPer person and for the team over the chosen period: won (deals and ₹), lost, win rate, leads in, quotes sent, average days to win, follow-ups done and overdue, calls and notes logged, billed from won leads, open and idle now, and the target.
TargetsEach lead owner's monthly target, the month it applies from, and the leaderboard switch.

Click a person to see their own page: results, open leads by stage, time spent in each stage compared with the team, lost reasons, wins with what was billed, stuck leads and hand-offs to or from other people.

How is a win credited?

A win (or a loss) counts for whoever held the lead when it was won. If Priya wins a lead and it is later reassigned to Meena for delivery, the win stays Priya’s.

FigureWho it counts for
Won, lost, win rateThe person holding the lead at the moment it reached a Won or Lost stage
Quotes sentWhoever held the quote’s lead when it was sent, or the quote’s creator if it has no lead
Billed from won leadsWhoever won the lead the bill came from — the bill’s quote belongs to the lead, or the converted customer was billed within 90 days of the win. Pre-GST; cancelled bills and opening balances never count.
₹ wonThe estimated value of leads moved to a Won stage in the period
IdleOpen leads with no activity for 7 days or more

Reopening a won lead clears the win: a reopened lead is no longer counted as won. Deleting a pipeline leaves past wins counting.

Months before Sales team existed are approximate

History from before the feature was switched on was rebuilt from each lead’s timeline, crediting today’s assignee. A period that reaches back that far says so on screen.

How do I set monthly sales targets?

  1. 1

    Open the Targets tab

Leads, then the pipeline tools menu, then Sales team, then Targets. Only members allowed to manage targets see the inputs.

  2. 2

    Pick the month

Use the arrows to move to the month the target should start from. Earlier months keep their own targets.

  3. 3

    Type the targets

For each person, enter a rupee target, a number of deals, or both. Leave both empty to mean no target from this month.

  4. 4

    Save

The target applies from that month and carries forward to every later month until you change it again.

Targets are set per person on the web. Results show progress against an even pace through the period, so “ahead of pace” or “behind pace” is visible mid-month, not only at month end.

For a target per shop or office rather than per person, see the monthly branch targets in Branches.

Should I share the leaderboard?

The Team leaderboard switch on the Targets tab decides whether the team can see each other’s standing.

SwitchWhat each salesperson sees
Private (default)Only their own numbers
SharedTheir own numbers, plus each person’s deals won and % of target, ordered by deals won then % of target

Rupee amounts of other people are never on the leaderboard. Roles that may not see money at all get the team view with rupee amounts hidden.

Who can see what?

RoleSales team access
Owner, AdminFull: team view, targets, the leaderboard switch
ManagerFull
Office staffOwn results only (My results, My month), plus the leaderboard when it is shared
AccountantNone (no lead access)
Field technicianNone (no lead access)

The team view follows the branch switcher: a member limited to some branches sees the leads of those branches. Downloading results as CSV also needs permission to export reports. See Roles & permissions.

What Sales team does not do

  • No commission or incentive calculation.
  • No salesperson on invoices, so counter sales are not attributed to a person.
  • It measures leads on pipelines; work that never went through a lead is not in it.

Common questions

Can I set monthly sales targets for each salesperson in BizOS?
Yes. In BizOS, open Leads, then Sales team, then Targets, pick a month and type a rupee target, a number of deals, or both for each person. The target applies from that month and carries forward until you change it.
Who gets credit for a lead that changed hands?
BizOS credits a win or a loss to whoever held the lead at the moment it was won or lost. Reassigning the lead afterwards does not move the credit.
Can my salespeople see each other’s sales figures in BizOS?
Only if you switch on the Team leaderboard, which is off by default. Even then BizOS shows each person’s deals won and percentage of target, never another person’s rupee amounts.
Who can see the Sales team page in BizOS?
Owner, Admin and Manager see the whole team and can set targets. Office staff see only their own results on My results. Accountant and Field technician have no lead access, so they do not see it.
How does BizOS decide which bills count for a salesperson?
BizOS counts a bill for the person who won its lead when the bill came from a quote on that lead, or when the converted customer was billed within 90 days of the win. Amounts are before GST, and cancelled bills and opening balances are left out.
Does BizOS calculate sales commission?
No. BizOS Sales team shows results against targets but does not calculate commission or incentives, and invoices do not carry a salesperson.
Can I see which leads each person is holding right now?
Yes. The Leads now tab in BizOS shows, for one pipeline, how many open leads each person holds in each stage, their value, how many are idle for 7 days or more, and an Unassigned row.
