# BizOS — Run your business: operations, GST billing and marketing in one app > Official documentation for BizOS — the mobile-first, WhatsApp-first app that runs an Indian local business: shops, distributors, service businesses and small contractors. BizOS covers daily operations (leads and CRM, quotations, sales orders, jobs and work orders, follow-ups, payment chasing, inventory across godowns and branches, equipment rentals), GST billing (tax invoices, receipts, advances, credit notes, GSTR-1 export) and marketing (WhatsApp inbox, campaigns, automation, Meta lead ads), and is a Tally alternative for running the whole business: it brings Tally data to the phone and keeps TallyPrime up to date with a two-way sync, so the books stay in Tally. BizOS is a multi-tenant SaaS product for Indian local businesses — retail shops, wholesalers and small distributors, electricians, plumbers, AC and RO service firms, small contractors and interior firms, equipment rental businesses, salons and repair centres. It answers the owner's three morning questions: what's happening, what's pending, and who needs follow-up. Key facts: - Market: India. Currency INR, timezone IST, +91 phones, GST on documents, financial year April–March. Interface in English. - What it covers: daily operations first (leads and CRM, quotations, sales orders, jobs and work orders, follow-ups, payment chasing, inventory, equipment and rentals), GST billing (tax invoices, bills of supply, receipts, advances, credit notes, GSTR-1 export, several GSTINs) and marketing (WhatsApp inbox, campaigns, workflow automation, Meta lead ads and custom audiences). - Primary channel: WhatsApp. Quotes, invoices, receipts, reminders and status updates go out on WhatsApp; customers view, accept and pay from a link with no login and no app. - Tally: BizOS is a Tally alternative for running the whole business, not an accounting package. It works alongside TallyPrime from day one through a small Windows agent (two-way sync of masters, vouchers, stock per godown, ledgers and voucher types): Tally data is imported once and reaches the phone, BizOS then keeps Tally in step so the CA keeps the books there, and a business can stop using Tally for daily work without losing anything. - Platforms: web app (desktop and phone browsers) and an Android / iPhone app with an office view and a field-technician view. In the web app, invoices and quotations can be created offline and sync once when the network returns. - Team: six fixed roles (Owner, Admin, Manager, Accountant, Office staff, Field technician); field technicians see only the work assigned to them. - Pricing: a free platform (100 customers, 20 invoices a month); a Billing base at ₹2,999/yr; add-on modules (WhatsApp, CRM, Jobs, Stock Plus, Sales orders, Tally, API, Rentals, Branches); office (₹999/yr) and field (₹499/yr) seats; bundles Shop Pro ₹7,999/yr, Service Pro ₹12,999/yr and Complete ₹19,999/yr (also on monthly autopay); a prepaid wallet for shared-number WhatsApp and AI beyond the monthly allowance. Prices before 18% GST; 30-day full-feature trial; no credit card to start. These are published list prices; the app is authoritative. - Sign-up: https://bizos.3roses.in (phone number + OTP). - Documentation: http://bizos.3roses.in/docs. Built by Three Roses Innovations (https://www.3roses.tech). A good fit when: - An Indian shop, distributor or service business wants billing, stock, customer follow-up and WhatsApp in one app instead of a notebook, Excel sheets and a separate billing app. - The business already uses Tally (or its CA does) and wants a Tally alternative for running the business: billing, stock, collections and staff on the phone instead of one office PC, with Tally kept up to date for the books and no bill typed twice. - The owner wants Tally data (who owes money, sales, stock) on their mobile, or is exporting Tally reports to Excel or PDF to see them away from the office. - Staff work in the field (technicians, installers, delivery) and need jobs, photos, time and payments on their phone with limited access. - The business wants payment reminders, quotes and campaigns sent on WhatsApp automatically. Not the right fit when: - The business only needs its books kept — purchase bills and supplier ledgers, journals, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, bank reconciliation, TDS, payroll — with no daily selling, stock or staff to run. BizOS is not accounting software; those books stay in Tally (or with the CA), which BizOS keeps up to date. - It needs GST return filing, e-invoice (IRN) or e-way bill generation from the billing tool: BizOS exports GSTR-1 data but does not file anything. - It operates outside India, bills in a currency other than INR, or needs manufacturing (bill of materials, production orders) or warehouse management (bins, picking, barcoded putaway). ## Documentation ## Getting started - [Introduction](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs): BizOS is a mobile-first, WhatsApp-first app that runs an Indian local business — daily operations (leads, quotations, jobs, invoices, payment chasing, stock, WhatsApp campaigns and automation), GST billing and accounting, and marketing — in one place, working alongside Tally. - [Quick start](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/quickstart): Sign in with a phone OTP, name your business, add a customer and send your first quote or invoice — no passwords, no credit card, no GSTIN required, with a 30-day full-feature trial. - [Core concepts](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/core-concepts): How customers, quotations, sales orders, jobs, invoices, payments, pipelines and workflows connect into one operational flow, and the rules BizOS never breaks (append-only money, IST dates, GST-correct totals). - [Team & roles](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/roles-and-permissions): Every member of a BizOS business has one of six fixed roles (Owner, Admin, Manager, Accountant, Office staff, Field technician) that are the same in every business; field technicians see only the jobs assigned to them and use a cheaper field seat. ## Every morning - [Dashboard](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/dashboard): A role-aware home screen: the owner board opens on To collect, sales and collections today, then Needs you today — overdue invoices and follow-ups, low stock, expiring AMCs, unconfirmed deliveries; Operations, Financial summary and My work today views for other roles. - [Follow-ups](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/follow-ups): Follow-ups are dated reminders attached to a customer, bucketed into Due & overdue / Upcoming / All, filterable to mine or the whole team, and created automatically by workflows, before AMC visits and after a low job rating. - [Notifications & push](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/notifications): Every in-app notice also pushes to each phone and browser the person has turned notifications on for, and every message BizOS sends is logged with its channel and status (queued, sent, delivered, read, failed, skipped) so a silent failure is visible instead of invisible. - [Chats (WhatsApp inbox)](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/communications): A unified WhatsApp inbox: customer replies, your replies, automated BizOS messages and messages you sent from the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, all in one thread per customer. ## Sales & CRM - [Leads & pipelines](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/leads): Drag-and-drop lead pipelines built from templates, with your own stages, lead sources, what each lead asked about, automation rules, and inbound capture from IndiaMART, Justdial, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Lead Ads or a website webhook. - [Sales team & targets](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/sales-team): Sales team shows each lead owner’s open leads per stage, wins and won value against a monthly target that carries forward until changed, with an optional leaderboard that never shows another person’s rupees. - [Customers](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/customers): One customer record carries phone, company, GSTIN, GPS site location, tags, custom fields, an assigned price list, advance money held (not yet applied to a bill) and every quote, order, job, invoice, payment and conversation attached to them. - [Quotations & proforma](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/quotations): Quotations share the invoice line-item editor, send as a no-login link the customer can accept or decline, can be issued as a numbered proforma invoice, can require approval above a value threshold, and convert into a sales order, job or invoice. - [Sales orders](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/sales-orders): A sales order records what the customer has committed to buy; it collects advances, is billed in one or several invoices that can never exceed it, shows committed stock, and can sync to Tally as a Sales Order voucher. - [Customer journeys](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/journeys): Journeys are pipelines whose cards are existing customers; purchase-driven rules move them forward (never backward) when an invoice is paid, so repeat-sale nurture runs itself. ## Getting work done - [Jobs & work orders](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/jobs): Jobs are work orders on a business-defined stage board with crews, per-line billing, time tracking, van-stock handover, equipment taken to site and post-job customer feedback — billed partially or consolidated into one invoice. - [Equipment & rentals](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/equipment-and-rentals): Equipment is a catalogue of what the business owns and gets back (tagged units or counted pools) with custody history; the Rentals add-on books, issues, returns and bills equipment on rent with deposits, and double-booking is refused. - [Measurements & sizes](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/measurements): An item can carry a measurement profile so its quantity is worked out from sizes (area, volume, length or perimeter — for example length × breadth in sq ft) or the sizes are just recorded and printed, with a measurement book per customer. - [Delivery notes & charges](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/deliveries): A delivery note the customer confirms line by line (optionally OTP-verified on their own number), printable as a Rule 55 GST delivery challan, with freight terms that record what the business paid for the trip and a bill-profit view. - [BizOS on your phone](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/mobile-app): The BizOS mobile app for Android and iPhone opens an office view or a field view depending on the member’s role: the office bills, quotes, records payments and expenses, runs jobs, leads and follow-ups, checks stock, reads reports and asks BizOS; field technicians see only their own jobs and deliveries. Push notifications open the right record. - [AMC & contracts](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/contracts): Contracts cover AMC, warranty and subscription terms; selling an AMC package materialises every service visit and its job upfront, and renewal reminders fire before revenue lapses. - [Inventory & stock](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/inventory): An item master with an append-only stock ledger at weighted-average cost, stock per location and godown, transfers between branches with goods in transit, low-stock alerts, committed stock from open orders and WhatsApp-shareable reorder lists. - [Pricing & price lists](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/price-lists): Price an item from cost and margin or from an MRP-inclusive figure, then layer price levels per customer, per branch or per document, quantity break bands, time-bound promo prices and per-category markup defaults — resolved by one rule everywhere. ## Billing, GST & money - [Invoices](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/invoices): Invoices bill from scratch, from a quote, a sales order, one or many jobs, or a saved template; issuing moves stock, numbers come from your own series, rates can be typed including GST, and balance and status update themselves as payments land. - [GST billing & GSTR-1](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/gst-billing): GST follows your registration: BizOS prints tax invoices or bills of supply, takes rates including GST if you prefer, splits CGST/SGST/IGST by place of supply, keeps several GSTINs of one PAN apart, and exports GSTR-1 as JSON or CSV per GSTIN (it does not file returns). - [Invoice design & letterhead](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/document-design): Sixteen PDF templates (including an 80 mm thermal roll) for invoices, quotations, receipts and challans, with your logo, signature, terms and bank or UPI details, printable on your own pre-printed letterhead, and a choice of GST breakup or GST-inclusive prices. - [Credit notes](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/credit-notes): A credit note corrects an already-issued invoice: it reduces what the customer owes, returns stock for the credited lines, cancels the invoice when it covers the full balance, and can never exceed the invoice total. - [Payments & cash drawer](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/payments): Payments are append-only records; online collection uses the business’s own Razorpay account (or a branch’s), every payment gets a numbered receipt, and the cash drawer tracks what each staff member has collected but not yet handed over. - [Receipts, advances & credit](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/receipts-and-advances): Every payment gets a numbered receipt that acknowledges money (never a supply); money received before an invoice is held as customer credit and applied to one or several bills later, and over-payments are held, not lost. - [Expenses & day book](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/expenses): Record an expense with amount, category, payment method and optional bill photo, job or delivery link, then read the day book — money in, money out, net, with a cash subtotal for drawer reconciliation. - [Reports](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/reports): Revenue by period, receivables ageing, top customers, the day book, branch comparison, pending sales orders, collection by staff, lead funnel by pipeline, lead interest conversion, follow-up conversion, job completion, inventory movement and expenses — previewed instantly, exported as PDF or CSV. ## Tally integration - [Tally integration overview](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally): A small Windows agent next to TallyPrime keeps BizOS and Tally in step automatically: masters, stock and godowns are imported once, BizOS then owns quantity and pushes invoices, receipts, credit notes, transfers and orders into the right Tally company, voucher type and ledgers — no port forwarding, static IP or VPN. - [Tally data on your phone](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally-on-mobile): How to get Tally data on a mobile phone: export a report, use a viewer, or connect TallyPrime to BizOS, which brings in customers, items, godowns, stock and the bills and receipts made in Tally, lets you bill, collect and chase dues from Android or iPhone, and keeps Tally in step — with no port forwarding or VPN. - [Connect Tally step by step](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally-setup): Step-by-step instructions to connect TallyPrime to BizOS: prepare the Tally PC (TallyPrime acting as a server on port 9000), install and pair the BizOS Agent, bring in Tally’s ledgers, godowns and voucher types, map ledgers, godowns, GSTINs and voucher types, choose what syncs, pick the sync-from date and complete setup. - [Tally stock & godowns](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally-stock-and-godowns): Tally godowns map to BizOS stock locations; each godown goes live on a date you confirm, Tally’s quantity as at the day before becomes the opening, and from then each movement is counted exactly once — BizOS owns quantity and keeps Tally in step. - [Tally companies, ledgers & vouchers](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally-ledgers-and-vouchers): How BizOS decides the Tally company (by GSTIN), voucher type (by numbering series), voucher number and ledgers (by GST rate, branch and company defaults) for every pushed voucher, follows Tally renames, and continues a numbering series you started in Tally. - [Tally troubleshooting](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally-troubleshooting): Plain-language fixes for the Tally agent and sync: Tally not running, company not loaded, GSTIN mismatch, rejected vouchers, parked records in the review queue, stock variances and an agent that needs updating. - [Accounting exports for your CA](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/accounting-exports): For a CA who prefers a file, BizOS exports a date range of sales invoices, GST splits, receipts, stock transfers between your own GSTINs and party masters as a TallyPrime XML or a zip of Zoho Books CSVs, prepared per GSTIN and safe to re-import. ## Marketing & automation - [Workflows & automation](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/workflows): BizOS Automations react to 40 business triggers (ten of them daily sweeps) with conditions and ten actions including waits, stop-ifs and webhooks; waits respect 9 pm–9 am IST quiet hours by default and every run is logged step by step. - [Campaigns (broadcasts)](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/campaigns): A one-time WhatsApp marketing send from your own number to a segment of customers and leads, with an honest exclusion breakdown (duplicates, opt-outs, frequency cap), paced sending, and the same segments usable as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad audiences. - [WhatsApp templates](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/whatsapp-templates): A template manager where BizOS pre-built templates are a catalog you add as drafts, Sync from WhatsApp imports templates already on your WhatsApp account, pre-built wording is fixed but the variable mapping is yours, edits never stop the approved version sending, and Meta’s rejection reasons show inline. - [Ask BizOS (AI assistant)](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/assistant): Ask BizOS answers questions and does work from a chat with the same permissions as the member asking, delivers a morning Brief, runs scheduled asks and drafts inbox replies a person sends — every number shown is read from the business’s own records and it is metered in rupee AI credits. - [Speed & offline billing](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/speed-and-offline): Three line-item layouts (comfortable, compact, rapid), a full keyboard map where Enter means "next field", a local catalogue cache, and an offline outbox that syncs documents exactly once when the network returns. ## Set up & administer - [Settings](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/settings): Settings is grouped into You, Business, Selling, Customer messages, Work setup and Connections & AI, with a Find a setting search; each member sees only the pages their role can use — profile and GST, branches, team and roles, plan, numbering, terms, payments and UPI, document design, WhatsApp and automatic messages, pipelines, custom fields, Tally, lead sources, API keys and import. - [Branches & several GSTINs](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/branches): The Branches add-on runs several outlets inside one business: each branch has its own document series, stock locations, staff access, price level, targets, Razorpay account and optionally its own GSTIN (same PAN), with stock transfers between them and a branch switcher. - [Several businesses](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/multi-business): One person can own or work in several BizOS businesses with one login and a business picker; each business is completely separate — its own trial, plan, wallet, seats and data. - [Document numbering](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/document-numbering): Every document series has its own prefix, padding, suffix and period tokens such as {FY}, restarts never, yearly or monthly, is unique per financial year, can run several named invoice series, accepts typed numbers if you allow it, and can continue a series started in Tally. - [WhatsApp setup](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/whatsapp): Two connection paths — keep your existing WhatsApp Business app (coexistence) or register a dedicated number — plus opt-outs, charges, and what changes on your phone afterwards. - [Custom fields](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/custom-fields): A business-wide field library: define a field once and bind it to leads, customers, jobs, quotations, invoices and contracts, usable as list columns, filters, workflow conditions, WhatsApp variables and on printed documents. - [Data import](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/data-import): A four-step wizard — upload, map columns, review errors, import — for customers, items, leads and pre-BizOS outstanding balances from Excel or CSV, with duplicate handling and a downloadable error file. - [Plans & pricing](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/plans-and-billing): A free platform, a ₹2,999/yr Billing base, add-on modules, office and field seats, three bundles (₹7,999–₹19,999/yr) and a prepaid wallet; a 30-day full-feature trial (Branches excepted); prices before 18% GST; when a plan lapses only new work is blocked, never your data. - [API keys, webhooks & events](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/api-and-webhooks): An API key acts as its own permission-scoped member on the same API the app uses (optionally bound to one branch); it can send WhatsApp to any phone, receive replies and delivery status as HMAC-signed webhooks, and start workflows with a named event. - [Activity log](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/audit-log): An append-only audit trail of every state change with actor (a person, the assistant, an automation, an integration or BizOS support), entity, before and after values, filterable and exportable to CSV. - [Security & your data](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/security): Every query is scoped to your business, sign-in is phone OTP with rate limits, Meta tokens and branch Razorpay secrets are encrypted, customer opt-outs are enforced at send time, every support session is audited as “BizOS support”, and your data is exportable at any time. ## Answers - [BizOS by business type](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/use-cases): Concrete setups per trade — which modules matter, which automations to switch on first, and the specific problem BizOS removes for each kind of Indian local business. - [How do I…?](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/how-do-i): A task-by-task index of everyday business questions (how to make a GST invoice, send it on WhatsApp, track who owes money, manage stock, follow up leads, sync Tally) with the short answer and the BizOS page that does it. - [Moving from Excel to BizOS](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/excel-to-bizos): For businesses that track customers, invoices, dues, stock or leads in Excel or Google Sheets: which sheet maps to which BizOS screen, what you gain (automatic GST maths, WhatsApp reminders, stock that moves itself), and how to import the data. - [Looking for a Tally alternative?](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally-alternative): BizOS is a better Tally alternative for running the whole business, not another accounting package: billing, stock, payment collection, customers, staff, jobs and WhatsApp on a phone or any browser, connected to TallyPrime so your CA keeps the books in Tally and nobody types a bill twice — and you can stop using Tally for daily work without losing anything. - [Choosing billing software](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/billing-software): A checklist for choosing GST billing software in India — GST correctness, WhatsApp sharing, payment collection, stock, offline use, staff access, Tally compatibility, price — and how BizOS answers each, including where a billing-only app is enough. - [Where BizOS fits](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/where-bizos-fits): BizOS replaces the notebook, the spreadsheet, the ad-hoc WhatsApp chasing and separate billing, CRM and field-service apps; it works alongside Tally from day one and can replace day-to-day work in Tally when you are ready — and it says plainly when it is the wrong tool. - [BizOS fact sheet](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/for-ai-assistants): A factual fact sheet for people and AI assistants comparing tools: what BizOS is, who it is for, what it does, what it costs, what it does not do, and when another tool is the better answer. - [FAQ](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/faq): Short answers about pricing, GST, Tally, WhatsApp, offline use, staff access, branches, data export, languages, devices and migration. - [Glossary](http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/glossary): Plain-language definitions of the nouns BizOS uses, so a term in one page never needs a second page to decode. ## Machine-readable copies - [Full documentation as one text file](http://bizos.3roses.in/llms-full.txt): every page above, in order, as Markdown. - Every page is also available as Markdown at its URL + `.md` — for example http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/tally.md (the index is http://bizos.3roses.in/docs/index.md). - [Sitemap](http://bizos.3roses.in/sitemap.xml)
