Dashboard

Every morning an owner wants three answers: what’s happening, what’s pending, and who needs a follow-up. The BizOS dashboard is a triage screen, not a wall of charts. It opens on how much you have to collect and what came in today, lists what needs you now with a one-tap way to deal with it, and shows each person only the view their role needs.

What does the owner see?

The Owner and Admin board, top to bottom:

BlockWhat it shows
To collectWhat is still owed on unpaid bills, and how many bills
Sales todayWhat you billed today, and how many bills
Collected todayPayments received today, split by method
Jobs in progressJobs not yet done
Orders to billOpen sales orders, what is left to bill and how many are overdue (when sales orders are on)
ChipsFollow-ups due, received today, spent today, net today, collected via payment link this month, AMCs expiring in the next 30 days
Needs you todayThe attention list (below)
Sales · last 7 daysBilled per day for the past week
Recent activityThe latest changes, linking into the Activity log
Leads by pipelineShown when you run more than one lead pipeline
Sales teamThis month's results against targets, see Sales team

Campaign suggestions — festivals coming up, crossed with your own sales — appear when there is something worth suggesting. The header carries New invoice, Record payment and Quote; every other quick action (new lead, customer, job, expense) is in the menu and, on a phone, behind the floating + button.

What needs my attention today?

Each row names the problem in a sentence, shows how long it has been that way, and carries the right verb:

AlertTriggerButton
Invoice overdueAn unpaid invoice is past its due dateRemind
Follow-up overdueA pending follow-up’s due date has passedOpen
Low stockAn item is at or below its reorder levelReorder
AMC expiringA contract is inside its renewal windowRenew
Delivery pendingA customer has not confirmed a delivery for 7 days or moreChase
Money at stakeUnpaid bills plus accepted quotations not yet billedReview

The list shows the first six, with a link to the rest — it is a worklist, not an inbox to scroll. Money at stake appears only for roles that see money.

Empty is a good state

When nothing is wrong the panel says “You’re all caught up”. That’s deliberate: an empty attention list is the strongest signal the dashboard can give you.

What does each role see?

Owner and Admin

The full board above: To collect, today’s sales and collections, the attention list, the week’s sales, recent activity and the sales team.

Manager and Office staff — Operations

The same chasing work: follow-ups due, jobs in progress, unpaid bills, AMCs expiring and the attention list. Managers also see money and recent activity; Office staff see counts but no rupee totals.

Accountant — Financial summary

Invoiced, collected and outstanding this month, financial-year-to-date totals, who owes you by age (0–30, 31–60, 61–90 and 90+ days), the top outstanding customers, and an Export for CA shortcut.

Field technician — My work today

Their jobs for today and their own follow-ups due, with a log-follow-up action. No business-wide money.

Today at a glance

Each figure is tappable straight through to the list behind it:

  • Follow-ups due — pending follow-ups due today or earlier.
  • Jobs in progress — jobs sitting in a to-do or in-progress stage.
  • Received today — payments recorded today (IST).
  • Spent today — expenses recorded today.
  • Net today — received minus spent, the number owners actually ask for.
  • Unpaid invoices — count and value still owed to you.
  • Collected via link — this month’s online collection, so you can see whether payment links are earning their keep.
  • AMCs expiring — contracts ending in the next 30 days, and service visits due this week.

Branches

If your business uses Branches, every figure covers the branches you work at, and the branch switcher narrows it to one. A note at the top says which branch you are looking at. The recent-activity feed is not shown to a branch-limited member, because the activity log is business-wide.

Common questions

Why is my BizOS dashboard different from my colleague's?
The BizOS dashboard is role-aware. Owner and Admin get the full board, Manager and Office staff get the Operations view, the Accountant gets a Financial summary with receivables by age, and a Field technician gets My work today. Office staff see counts but no rupee totals.
How do I see how much money is pending to collect?
The BizOS owner dashboard opens on To collect: the total still owed on unpaid bills and how many bills. Tap it to open the unpaid invoice list. The Accountant view shows the same money by age.
How current are the dashboard numbers?
They are computed on load and cached for about a minute, so moving between screens doesn't re-run the same queries. The Refresh button recomputes immediately.
What counts as today on the BizOS dashboard?
The IST calendar day. Every date boundary in BizOS — today, due dates, ageing, the Day Book — uses India Standard Time regardless of where the device is.
Why does an overdue invoice appear here and in Follow-ups?
The dashboard shows the top few things needing attention as a triage summary; Follow-ups is the full worklist you actually work through. The dashboard links into it rather than duplicating it.
Can I see one branch's numbers on the dashboard?
Yes. With the BizOS Branches add-on, pick a branch in the header's branch switcher and every dashboard figure narrows to that branch. A branch-limited member always sees only their own branches.
