BBizOS Docs

Quick start

You can be billing in a few minutes. No password, no credit card, and no GSTIN needed to start. If you already make bills in Tally, other software or a bill book, BizOS can carry on from your last bill number.

  1. 1

Sign in with your phone number

Open https://bizos.3roses.in or the BizOS app and enter your +91 mobile number. BizOS sends a 6-digit code by SMS, valid for 10 minutes. Enter it and you are in; there is no password to create.

  2. 2

    Set up your business

Type your business name, pick a category and optionally your city. BizOS then asks whether you are already making bills: say yes to continue from your last bill number, or no to start fresh.

  3. 3

    Add a customer

Open Sell, then Customers, and add a name and mobile number. The customer is what quotes, orders, jobs, invoices, payments, follow-ups and WhatsApp chats attach to.

  4. 4

Create a quote or an invoice

Open Sell, then Quotes or Invoices, and start a new one. Pick the customer, add a line or two from your items or as free text, and save. BizOS works out totals, GST and the bill number; issue an invoice when it is final.

  5. 5

Send shares a link your customer opens on their phone without an app or login. They can accept a quote, or see the bill with a UPI QR and pay it.

  6. 6

    Record the payment

When money arrives, open the invoice and use Record payment for cash, UPI, bank transfer or cheque, or let an online payment through your own Razorpay account mark it paid. BizOS numbers a receipt for every payment.

1. Sign in with your phone

Open BizOS and enter your +91 mobile number. BizOS sends a 6-digit code by SMS, valid for 10 minutes.

Two safeguards you will only notice if something goes wrong: you can request at most 3 codes an hour for one number, and 5 wrong attempts cancels a code, so request a fresh one rather than guessing.

Invited, or running more than one business?

If someone invited you, sign in with the number they invited and you join their business with the role they gave you. One phone number can belong to several businesses; switch between them from the business switcher. See Multi-business.

2. Set up your business

The first form asks for the business name, a category and, optionally, your city. Then one question: Are you already making bills? Answer yes and BizOS takes you to continue your numbering from the last bill you made elsewhere, so the series carries on. See Document numbering.

Everything else can come later, in any order, from Settings:

  • Settings → Business → Profile & GST: logo, address, contact details, whether you are GST-registered and your GSTIN, and whether you type rates including GST (on by default).
  • Settings → Selling → Numbering: prefix, digits and the financial year in each bill number.
  • Settings → Selling → Payments: your UPI ID for the QR on bills, and your own Razorpay account for payment links.
  • Settings → Selling → Invoices & quotes: payment terms (30 days by default) and quote validity (7 days by default).
  • Settings → Selling → Document design: the look of your PDFs, a thermal roll format, or your pre-printed letterhead.

3. Add a customer

Go to Customers and add a name and mobile number. Numbers are stored in one standard form, so the same customer is not created twice under different spellings of their number.

Coming from a spreadsheet or Tally?

Don’t type customers in one by one. Settings → Connections & AI → Import from Excel brings in customers, items, leads and what customers owed you before BizOS. See Data import and Moving from Excel to BizOS. On Tally, connect it instead: see Tally setup.

4. Send your first quote or invoice

  • To send a price, open Quotes, start a new quote, pick the customer, add a line or two, and send it. It goes out on WhatsApp and you see when the customer accepts or declines.
  • To bill for something agreed, open Invoices, create the invoice, issue it (this moves stock and makes it owed), and send it. The customer can pay from the link.

Both use the same line editor. If you bill all day at a counter, choose the Compact or Rapid layout under Settings → You → Preferences; Rapid is built for a barcode scanner. See Speed & offline.

5. Collect the payment

Open the invoice and Record payment: cash, UPI, bank transfer or cheque. If you have connected your own Razorpay account, send a payment link and the invoice marks itself paid when the customer pays. Either way the balance and status update, and BizOS issues a numbered receipt. See Payments and Receipts & advances.

What to do next

Switch on payment reminders

Under Settings → Customer messages → Automatic messages, so overdue bills are chased on WhatsApp without you. See Payments.

Invite your team

Settings → Business → Team & roles. Give each person one of six roles; a field technician sees only their own jobs. See Team & roles.

Connect WhatsApp or Tally

Your own WhatsApp number (WhatsApp), and Tally if your CA uses it (Tally setup).

Name your stages

Rename job stages and lead pipeline stages to the words your team uses, under Settings → Work setup → Pipelines & stages.

Common questions

Do I need a GSTIN to use BizOS?
No. A GSTIN is optional in BizOS. If you are not GST-registered, your bills print as INVOICE with no GST. When you register, mark the business as GST-registered in Settings and BizOS charges GST on new bills.
Do I need a credit card to sign up for BizOS?
No. BizOS sign-up needs only a +91 mobile number that can receive an SMS. Payment is only needed if you buy a plan.
I didn't get the BizOS OTP. What now?
Each code lasts 10 minutes and you can request up to 3 codes an hour for one number. Wait for the current code or for it to expire, then request another. Five wrong attempts cancel a code, so request a fresh one rather than guessing.
Can BizOS continue my existing bill numbers?
Yes. When you set up your first business, BizOS asks whether you are already making bills in Tally, other software or a bill book. Say yes and you can continue the series from your last number so it does not restart at 1.
Can one phone number belong to more than one business?
Yes. The same number can own or work in several BizOS businesses, for example two separate firms, and you switch between them from the business switcher without signing out.
How long is the BizOS trial and what happens after?
Thirty days with every feature unlocked. When it ends, the business moves to the plan you have chosen or the free platform. It is a downgrade to that plan's limits, not a lockout, and your data stays as it is.
